Nausea: Take Care Of Your Internal Health
Nausea is that icky feeling in your stomach that makes you feel like you might throw up. It’s a common experience, especially during your period.
Here are 3 tips to help you feel less nauseous:
Eat small, frequent meals
Instead of big meals weighing down your stomach, try having smaller portions throughout the day.
- Opt for smaller portions throughout the day to avoid overloading your stomach.
- Try to eat bland food to avoid greasy food.
Ginger’s your friend
Ginger is a natural ingredient known to help soothe nausea.
- Try to add ginger to your food to soothe your stomach.
- Sip ginger tea, sucking on ginger chews, or even adding some fresh ginger to your meals.
Hydration is the key
Dehydration can make nausea worse. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your body functioning properly.
- Stick to water, herbal teas, or diluted fruit juice. Avoid taking sugary drinks.
- During heavy bleeding, try to add electrolyte or salt to your drink.
