Nausea: Take Care Of Your Internal Health

Nausea is that icky feeling in your stomach that makes you feel like you might throw up. It’s a common experience, especially during your period.

Here are 3 tips to help you feel less nauseous:

1

Eat small, frequent meals

Instead of big meals weighing down your stomach, try having smaller portions throughout the day.

  • Opt for smaller portions throughout the day to avoid overloading your stomach.
  • Try to eat bland food to avoid greasy food.
2

Ginger’s your friend

Ginger is a natural ingredient known to help soothe nausea.

  • Try to add ginger to your food to soothe your stomach.
  • Sip ginger tea, sucking on ginger chews, or even adding some fresh ginger to your meals.
3

Hydration is the key

Dehydration can make nausea worse. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your body functioning properly.

  • Stick to water, herbal teas, or diluted fruit juice. Avoid taking sugary drinks.
  • During heavy bleeding, try to add electrolyte or salt to your drink.
